A guide to the site and museum of a Roman estate in southern Germany. The author records the 1970's excavation with descriptions of phasing, structures, including a temple, mill and cellars, and illustrations of the large number of artefacts. These include a particularly fine collection of bronze and glass objects which predominantly date to the 2nd century AD. The potetry included examples in a Celtic tradition and also post-Roman vessels. The final part of the volume relates the estate to Roman towns and military sites in the area, including Sumelocenna, the present day Rottenburg.
