President Stephen C. Jefferson is back to shake things up once more. Now that his mistress has been put on ice, he and First Lady Raynetta Jefferson seem to be back on track. She has managed to hurdle over her husband's affairs, but her mother-in-law continues to be the real thorn in her side. The two women want the president to choose whose side he's on, but President Jefferson has his mind on his job. Sweeping gun-control legislation has been passed, and terrorism is being dealt with in a major way. The president is riding high from his multiple accomplishments, until he's told about a son he never knew he had, a son who has been classified as a dangerous terrorist. The shocking news brings the president to his knees. His trials and tribulations are more difficult than any he could have ever imagined. His world is crumbling right before his eyes, and a lonely, vengeful first lady is not the one he needs by his side. Neither is the Secret Service, and when an agent decides to make a move toward the first lady, mayhem erupts in the White House like never, ever before.

Based on the Simontons' experience with hundreds of patients at their world-famous Cancer Counseling and Research Center, Getting Well Again introduces the scientific basis for the "will to live." In this revolutionary book the Simontons profile the typical "cancer personality": how an individual's reactions to stress and other emotional factors can contribute to the onset and progress of cancer -- and how positive expectations, self-awareness, and self-care can contribute to survival. This book offers the same self-help techniques the Simonton's patients have used to successfully to reinforce usual medical treatment -- techniques for learning positive attitudes, relaxation, visualization, goal setting, managing pain, exercise, and building an emotional support system.

Things in the U.S. are not what they used to be. The man who now holds the keys to the Oval Office was born and raised on the rough streets of St. Louis, where he discovered how to silence his enemies by wielding knowledge and power. Now, his enemies come in the form of a do-nothing Congress, an untrustworthy administration, and a wife with many issues. The harm they intend to do to Mr. President will be no more than what he may inflict upon himself. His brash words, no-nonsense attitude, and sexiest-man-alive status are going to heat up things on Capitol Hill.

Rob málokdy dodržel slovo dané otci, i když toho později litoval.
