Dr. Ian Shaw delves into the methods and mechanics of ancient Egyptian craftsmen and laborers, expanding his research from fieldwork in el-Amarna to extensive excavations of mining and quarrying sites across various periods of ancient Egypt. Beyond his focus on artisans, he also explores ancient Egyptian warfare, a topic often overlooked or only briefly touched upon by other scholars.
