Aubrey Beardsley Biography

Aubrey Beardsley was an English illustrator and author whose black ink drawings, influenced by Japanese woodcuts, emphasized the grotesque, the decadent, and the erotic. A leading figure in the Aesthetic movement, he championed art for art's sake.
