Gina Detwiler's path to writing began with a desire to avoid early mornings, a switch from her initial plans to become a teacher. She co-authored The Prince Warrior series for middle grade readers alongside bestselling author and speaker Priscilla Shirer. Under the pseudonym Gina Miani, she also authored the novels Hammer of God and Avalon.
