Josephine Bacon

    January 1, 1942 – January 1, 2018

    Josephine Daskam Bacon was a versatile American author, primarily celebrated for her female protagonists. Her work spanned juvenile mysteries alongside more serious thematic explorations, and she published critically acclaimed poetry, some of which was set to music. Bacon addressed "women's issues" and the roles of women in society. She was also a pioneer in the Girl Scouts movement, compiling the organization's guidebook.
