Soubor básní v původním českém překladu Radka Malého předkládá výbor z díla básníka, žurnalisty, anarchisty, revolucionáře a rebela Sonky (vlastním jménem Hugo Sonnenschein). Částečně tak vyplňuje mezeru, která v českých literárních dějinách obecně u německy píšících autorů dosud existuje. Pestré a nesnadné životní cesty daly vzniknout veršům dotýkajícím se kontextu české generace buřičů, symbolismu a zapadajícím do mantinelů evropského expresionismu.
