His pursuit leads him into the city's dark underbelly, filled with love intrigues and dangerous criminal escapades. Along the way, he receives unofficial assistance from Police Commissioner Roman Obukh, who has been sidelined from the case. The novel intertwines mystery, romance, and the risks of uncovering the truth in a politically charged atmosphere.
