Unfortunately, many important mosaics are disappearing due to destruction or dismantling, with most lacking state protection and many artists remaining anonymous. An appendix identifies 322 mosaics in Moscow, juxtaposing renowned works by artists like Alexander Deyneka and Boris Chernyshev with those of lesser-known creators who have been overlooked in the history of art and architecture. The inspiration for this book came from English photographer James Hill, who dedicated three years to documenting these significant yet underappreciated works of Soviet monumental art, often dismissed as mere propaganda in the post-Soviet era.

Najdeme zde články, jež se zabývají kritikou aristotelského pojetí vnímání, jeho interpretací jazyka fyziky, teorií jazykového významu, jeho koncepcí "common sense", jeho představou já jakožto aktivní síly, ale také jeho teorií poslušnosti v politické oblasti nebo pozdní filosofií spisu Seiris, který se pod vlivem novoplatonismu a hermetického korpusu vyvazuje z mezí idealismu raného období.

Novinka nakladatelství SMRŠŤ předkládá šest esejů z oblasti současné filosofie mysli, z nichž každý se pokouší nalézt v přírodě místo pro vědomí, aniž by ho redukoval na čistě hmotné stavy. Všechny eseje byly zveřejněny během posledních tří dekád, během nichž se nereduktivní přístupy k vědomí staly ve filosofii mysli významným hlasem. To neznamená, že by tyto přístupy představovaly homogenní filosofické stanovisko. Zde představení oponenti redukce vědomí netvoří nic jako „školu“. Jde spíše o volnou koalici přístupů, které berou vážně subjektivní perspektivu a jsou skeptické vůči existujícím redukcionistickým návrhům. Lze o nich proto říci, že se hlásí k rozšířenému pojetí přírody, které překračuje úzce materialistickou ontologii. Rozdíl mezi starověkou a středověkou filosofií a filosofií po Descartovi bývá obvykle spatřován v tom, že ve starověké a středověké filosofii nenajdeme pojem, který by přesně odpovídal našemu pojmu vědomí. Tento náhled je ovšem správný jen částečně. Jednak se totiž interpreti a komentátoři starověkých autorů nerozpakují používat termín vědomí v rámci svých výkladů, jednak je pojem vědomí zatížen mnohoznačnostmi, které již samy o sobě neumožňují provést v této věci definitivní rozhodnutí. To dokládá i tato kniha. Sedm esejů, které ji tvoří, se zabývá různými přístupy k vědomí předloženými ve třech klíčových obdobích – v raně novověké filosofii, v německé klasické filosofii a v současné analytické filosofii.
