Ian Cameron Esslemont Series

Ian Cameron Esslemont's background as an archaeologist and extensive travels in Southeast Asia inform his writing. He studied creative writing and lived for several years in Thailand and Japan before settling in Alaska. Esslemont co-created the Malazan world with Steven Erikson, initially as a backdrop for role-playing games. This rich universe later became the basis for a film script and, subsequently, a novel.
