About the author: "After completing secondary school in Bratislava in 1951, he tried to illegaly leave the country in order to study theology in Italy. He was caught at the border, tried and sentenced to twelve years imprisonment in Jachymov concentration camps and uranium mines, where he worked underground in the mines for 98 months."
