François Cavanna

    February 22, 1923 – January 29, 2014

    François Cavanna was a French writer and humorous illustrator, renowned for co-founding the magazine Hara-Kiri and later Charlie Hebdo. His work often reflects his life experiences and observations, infused with wit and a distinctive humor. After the war, he returned to journalism and illustration, applying his talents to satirical creations. In his later years, he also pursued writing, openly discussing his battle with Parkinson's disease.
