Pavel Juráček Biography

This filmmaker and screenwriter is a key figure of the Czechoslovak New Wave of the 1960s. His works are characterized by deep insight into the human psyche and the social issues of his time. As the only Czech director, he publicly defended human rights by signing Charter 77, reflecting his courageous civic stance.
