Alice Bassiová má tesne po tridsiatke, nie z vlastnej vôle je dlhodobo nezadaná a ani práca jej neponúka sľubné vyhliadky na kariérny postup. Správa, že jej bývalý priateľ, na ktorého nevie zabudnúť, sa čoskoro ožení, ju zasiahne ako blesk z jasného neba. Akoby to nestačilo, v malej televíznej spoločnosti, kde pracuje, sa objaví Davide Nardi, šarmantný muž so záhadným úsmevom, o ktorom by mohla snívať svoj zakázaný sen, keby v televízii nemal úlohu kata.
