Candy Bars is a collection of short stories by Gerald Locklin, most of which were previously available only in the pages of obscure small press magazines and limited edition chapbooks.
Gerald Locklin, a prolific writer from Rochester, NY, authored over a hundred books, including notable works such as The Firebird Poems and Go West, Young Toad. Recognized as a key figure in Los Angeles literature, he contributed significantly to poetry and prose throughout his career. Locklin served as a professor of English at California State University, Long Beach from 1965 to 2007, leaving a lasting impact on the literary community before his passing in 2021.
