Jacobus de Voragine

    Jacobus de Varagine was an Italian chronicler and archbishop of Genoa. His most significant work is the compilation "Legenda Sanctorum", known as the "Golden Legend." This collection of legendary lives of medieval saints became one of the most popular religious works of the Middle Ages.
