Johan Fabricius

    August 24, 1899 – June 21, 1981

Johan Fabricius blended his diverse talents and character traits into his acclaimed historical stories, novels (for young readers), and plays. His desire for adventure and wanderlust provided him with a variety of subjects, while his evocative skill, honed during his training as a realistic figurative painter, inspired wonderfully detailed, atmospheric descriptions. His gently romantic nature infused his realistic stories with drama and fantastic characters. An independent spirit, Fabricius drew inspiration from few, choosing his own path and traveling the world, contributing as a correspondent for the BBC and The Times while tirelessly continuing to write.
