Egon Bondy

    January 20, 1930 – April 9, 2007

Zbyněk Fišer, known as Bondy, was a Czech philosopher, writer, and poet. He was a key figure in the Prague underground, renowned for writing lyrics for the band The Plastic People of the Universe. His non-conformist work and critical perspective on reality led to conflict with the communist regime, resulting in his writings being circulated only as samizdat. Bondy's prose is marked by profound reflections on human existence and societal conditions.
