Das Werk von Hilma af Klint (1862–1944) ist einer breiten Öffentlichkeit immer noch viel zu wenig bekannt: Bereits 1906 wandte sich die Künstlerin von der Gegenständlichkeit ab und schuf bis 1915 fast 200 abstrakte Gemälde, davon einige in großen Formaten.
