Helen Fairbairn is the author of twelve hiking guidebooks, covering diverse destinations from America's Rocky Mountains to Scotland's Highlands and the European Alps. Her work focuses on exploring wild landscapes, particularly in Ireland where she resides. Mountains have captivated her since her youth, and she has since explored many of the greatest mountain ranges globally. She is also an avid kayaker, enjoying sea kayaking along remote and fractured coastlines.
