This artist, a painter of portraits, nudes, interiors, and landscapes, also excelled as a wood engraver, lithographer, sculptor, and writer. After studying in Paris, he focused on wood engraving, creating portraits and scenes from daily life with sardonic humor, and illustrating numerous books and journals. His friendships within the Nabi group and exhibitions with them shaped his artistic journey. His posthumously published novel attests to his literary aspirations.
