Alexander Alexandrowitsch Sinowjew

    October 29, 1922 – May 10, 2006

Alexandr Zinoviev emerged as a radical thinker whose early academic successes were marked by outspoken dissent. After initial challenges in Moscow University and the Red Army, he forged a brilliant academic career in logic, publishing over 100 articles and a significant book on many-valued logic. Despite frequent invitations to international conferences, he never traveled outside the Soviet Union. However, as political and academic freedoms tightened, Zinoviev became increasingly involved in the human rights movement, leading to his eventual isolation.
