Ajahm Brahm
Ajahn Brahm, originally Peter Betts, is a British Buddhist author dedicated to the profound study and practice of Theravada Buddhism. His early academic background in theoretical physics at Cambridge University contrasts with his later journey to Thailand, where he became a monk and trained under a renowned master. Even as a junior monk, he was tasked with compiling an English-language guide to the Buddhist monastic code, which became foundational for monastic discipline in many Western Theravada monasteries. His work focuses on applying Buddhist principles to daily life and fostering spiritual development.
