Active Engagement received the Best Book Award by the Canadian Counselling Association. This third edition builds on the original text and adds new information about career processes (dynamics of change, careercraft, structured relationship building) and techniques (storytelling, second order questioning, the Intelligent Career Card Sort, planned happenstance, Guiding Circles, reference coaching, and more). Also included are a series of case studies illustrating the ways in which employment counsellors have applied the active engagement method.
