Marcus Ingendaay, 1958 geboren, studierte Anglistik und Germanistik in Köln und Cambridge. Nach Stationen als Reporter und Werbetexter arbeitet er seit vielen Jahren als freier Übersetzer. Für seine Übersetzungen von Werken u. a. von William Gaddis und David Foster Wallace wurde er mehrfach ausgezeichnet. «Die Taxifahrerin» ist sein erster Roman.
