Richard Rutt

Cecil Richard Rutt was an English Roman Catholic priest and a former Anglican bishop. He dedicated nearly twenty years of his life as an Anglican missionary in South Korea, a nation he grew to deeply cherish. Rutt represented perhaps the final scholar-missionary in a lineage that established the foundations of what is now known as Korean studies. After retiring as an Anglican bishop, he was received into the Roman Catholic Church and ordained a priest.
