Raised on a ranch in southern Idaho, this author developed a profound love for the land and animals, finding solace in unspoiled places that evoke a sense of timelessness. This connection, coupled with an early fascination for western history and its characters, fueled a lifelong desire to write. After a career as a wildlife biologist and wildland firefighter, the author now dedicates ample time to writing, a pursuit that comes naturally and brings great satisfaction.
