The connection between architecture and hand drawing is explored through the sketches of Wolf dPrix, co-founder and CEO of Coop Himmelb(l)au. Over 53 years, these sketches have served as the foundational step for every design, even amidst the rise of digital architecture. Initially representing built works in the 1960s and 1970s, they now provide strategic guidance for complex projects. From a collection of 2,800 archival drawings, 1,300 were chosen to illustrate developmental dynamics, showcasing around 320 significant architectural projects as invaluable historical documents.
Thom Mayne Books

Snapshots from a suspended moment within a global pandemic: a select group of artists, architects, and thinkers with feet in both Vienna and Los Angeles consider the shape of a future in flux?a spontaneous record in form of a brief written or visual statement to capture an outlook in the future flavored by this very moment in suspense, sheltered in place, and socially distant.
A magnificently mammoth monograph and robust presentation on the work of Pritzker Prize-winning architect Thom Mayne and his firm Morphosis from its inception to today as seen through the models that came before the bold and innovative buildings now punctuating the urban landscape, worldwide.
