Annet Schaap brings together her talents for drawing and writing, stemming from her art academy studies and early dreams of becoming an illustrator or author. Her extensive illustration work, spanning hundreds of children's books and collaborations with many beloved writers, has made her particularly well-known in the Netherlands. After an adventurous period traveling through North and Central America in a camper, she now alternates between drawing and writing, infusing her literary creations with a unique visual sensibility and a spirit of exploration.
