Felix Janosa is a composer by training and a pianist, singer, and cabaret artist on stage. Music has been a lifelong companion for this versatile talent. His growing involvement as a composer, producer, and author in music education interrupted his live performance career. Together with illustrator and author Jörg Hilbert, he created the character 'Ritter Rost' (Knight Rust) in the early nineties. This character's multimedia books, featuring illustrations, text, sheet music, and CDs, sold in the millions. Janosa aims to bring the musical quality of his 'high-culture punk' style, appreciated by his adult cabaret fans, to German families. Through 'Ritter Rost,' he introduces elements of big band jazz, Beethoven, Renaissance music, and even Beatles nostalgia into children's rooms.
The collection features 24 piano pieces that showcase a rich stylistic diversity, blending elements of classical, jazz, and pop music. The preludes and nocturnes oscillate between day and night moods, captivating listeners with their musical coherence and pianistic sophistication.
