Geburtstag des großen Hohenzollern im Jahre 2012 hat jetzt der Hamburger Journalist und Buchautor Michael Hertel Kuglers Werk in einer moderat redigierten Fassung als Taschenbuch neu herausgegeben. Dabei wurde besonderer Wert auf die Erhaltung der originären Diktionen des 18. und 19. Jahrhunderts bei gemäßigt moderner Orthographie in einem gut lesbaren, zeitgemäßen Schriftbild gelegt. Das Buch enthält nicht die im Original publizierten Zeichnungen Menzels.
