Josef Nesvadba is regarded as one of the most significant authors of Czech science fiction. His short stories function as laboratories of human morality and spaces for exploring ethical and philosophical questions, with plot and characters serving the expression of core ideas. Through a cultivated style characterized by concise sentences and a detached observation of events, Nesvadba examines the feelings of an intellectual within a changing society.
