G. E. M. Anscombe Book order
Elizabeth Anscombe was a British analytic philosopher who became an authority on the work of Ludwig Wittgenstein, editing and translating many of his writings. Her scholarship spanned the philosophy of mind, action, language, and ethics. Her seminal 1958 article "Modern Moral Philosophy" introduced the term "consequentialism" into analytic philosophy, and her monograph "Intention" is widely recognized as her most influential work. Her philosophical explorations of intention, action, and practical reasoning have profoundly shaped contemporary thought in these areas.
