Erich Buchholz

    February 8, 1927 – December 11, 2020

    Buchholz is a German jurist and lawyer who practiced law in the German Democratic Republic. Following German reunification in 1990, he focused on defending individuals accused in cases related to attempts to flee the GDR. He is a noted critic of what he describes as the judicial annexation of the former German Democratic Republic, particularly concerning the legal proceedings against those who sought to cross its borders.
