Ernst von Aster wurde am 18. Februar 1880 in Berlin geboren. Der deutsche Philosoph lehrte nach seinem eigenen Studium in München an der Universität Gießen. 1933 wurde er aus politischen Gründen ins Exil nach Schweden geschickt. Später lebte er in der Türkei wo er Lehraufträge erhielt. Als Philosophiehistoriker präsentiert Aster in folgendem Werk eine klare Darstellung von philosophischen und physischen Zeit- und Rauminhalten.
