Though primarily recognized for his crime novels, this author's literary output spans a much wider spectrum. He penned poetry, short stories, fantastic prose, film scripts, plays, travel memoirs, and children's books. His literary career began during his high school years, and he made his editorial debut with a collection of verse in 1934. He gained significant notice for his 1946 fantastic novel, 'The House with Mists,' which showcased his talent for crafting atmospheric and suspenseful narratives.
