Parmenides of Elea was an ancient Greek philosopher and founder of the Eleatic school. His sole surviving work, a poem presented in fragments, explores the nature of reality. In 'The Way of Truth,' he posits that reality is singular, unchanging, and eternal, while 'The Way of Opinion' describes the illusory and deceitful world of appearances. His profound ideas significantly influenced Plato and, through him, the trajectory of Western philosophy.
