Peter Kosta's work delves into biolinguistics and language theory, exploring universals, generative syntax, and formal semantics. His research engages with speech act theory and conversational analysis, considering language policy and typology. He has extensively studied Slavic languages, ancient Indo-European tongues, and Romance languages.
