Helga Lühning Book order (chronological)

On the occasion of the rehabilitation and first revival of the authentic version of Beethoven's Leonore, an international symposium took place in 1997 at the Beethoven House in Bonn, aiming to approach the work from all angles. The discussions covered the historical foundations of drama, genre traditions, Beethoven's musical-dramatic thinking and operatic experiences, the processes of conception and composition, analytical questions of musical dramaturgy, the transformation of Leonore into Fidelio, as well as the various aspects that the comparison reveals, and finally, the perspectives of reception history.

Rekonstruktion eines Skizzenbuches bestehend aus 20 Blättern aus dem Konvolut der Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin – Preußischer Kulturbesitz, Mus. ms. autogr. Beethoven 19e und 14 weiteren Blättern aus anderen Sammlungen. Es ist anzunehmen, dass das hier rekonstruierte Skizzenbuch von Beethoven im Sommer 1800 verwendet wurde.
