Delia Huddy enjoyed a long career in children's publishing, including many happy years at Julia MacRae Books in London before becoming editorial director at Random House UK. She also authored novels, picture books, and fiction for younger readers. Near the end of her life in 2005, she was working on the text for The Christmas Eve Tree.
