In 2019, Berlin-based artist Stefan Marx created a unique board book titled "Reading the News," inspired by his drawings for The New York Times. This book serves as an artist's, coloring, and children's book, encouraging imaginative thinking about reading the news through cheerful illustrations of fruits and vegetables.
Stefan Marx releases his new book 'Berlin Drawings' one and a half year after moving to Germany's Capital. These small scale drawings were made in different situations - being on public transport, in clubs, at the TXL airport, walking in different neighborhoods, or just at his new home. On 300 pages he shares his impressions, thoughts and observations of his surrounding space, drawing down faces, typographies, animals, daydreams and quotes of Berlin. During Mac DeMarco's European Tour in the fall 2017 Stefan Marx joined the band for a few stops to draw on stage during Mac DeMarco's live performance. Hiding in the back of the band, he got time to capture a unique view on the five musicians, the whole performance, some behind the scenes moments and the audience.
