Andreas P. Pittler

    Andreas Pittler, born in Vienna in 1964, initially pursued journalism after studying history and political science and earning his doctorate. Since 1985, he has published 23 non-fiction books, mostly historical in nature, including biographies of Bruno Kreisky and Samuel Beckett. In recent years, his focus has increasingly shifted towards fiction, with ten novels and three short story collections appearing since 2000. Pittler is a member of several literary associations, including the Austrian P.E.N. Club and "Syndikat," an association of German-language crime writers.
