The book explores the breakage behavior of glass façades in fire conditions through extensive experimental and numerical investigations. It details full-scale tests on various façade types, including single, double, and coated glazing, under pool fire scenarios. The research highlights the impact of different glass frames, types, and thermal shocks on breakage. Additionally, small-scale tests using advanced systems were conducted to assess the mechanical properties of glazing at varying temperatures, providing a comprehensive understanding of glass performance in fire.

Within this thesis a tool which allows combining the analysis of the impact of the system management and load profile on the internal parameters inside electrochemical gas or fluid cells such as distribution of potential, current density and concentration of reactant has been developed. The focus is on high temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cells (HT-PEMFCs) and all-vanadium redox-flow batteries (VRFBs). The thesis concentrates on implementation and validation of the models. The developed models offer the opportunity to optimize flow fields or control strategies in the future.
