Roy Thomas Biography

Roy Thomas is celebrated for his pioneering work in comics, notably as Stan Lee's successor at Marvel Comics. He is credited with introducing the pulp hero Conan the Barbarian to American comics, expanding the character's narrative and igniting a sword-and-sorcery trend. Thomas also championed Golden Age comic heroes, reviving the 1940s team the Justice Society of America. His extensive writing credits include influential runs on Marvel's X-Men and Avengers, as well as DC's All-Star Squadron.
