Er war nach seiner Dissertation als Lektor, Publizist und Leiter der Kulturabteilung des Schweizer Fernsehens DRS tätig. Darüber hinaus war er Lehrbeauftragter an verschiedenen Universitäten. Iso Camartin lebt in Zürich.
