Death in the East

Set against the backdrop of early 20th century London and later India, the story follows Sam Wyndham, a young constable who becomes entangled in a murder investigation after encountering an old flame, Bessie Drummond. Her mysterious death, occurring in a locked room, propels Wyndham on a quest for answers that challenges him deeply. Years later, seeking solace from his opium addiction in Assam, he confronts a haunting figure from his past, intertwining his personal struggles with unresolved mysteries.
