Opět psychopatická rodina, kde si otec vysnil zahradu s motýly a myslí si, že dělá velice záslužný čin, když zachraňuje dívky z ulice. Je to jeho sen a věří mu natolik, že bere i vraždy jako splnění svého snu. Trochu přitažené za vlasy, ale dobře zpracované téma. Román je napsán z části retrospektivně, čte se velice dobře.
