More about the book

As a favor to an old friend, Hercule Poirot attends a summer fete in Devon, participating in a Murder Hunt rather than a Treasure Hunt. This illustrated collector’s edition features a never-before-published novella version of the story. Sir George and Lady Stubbs, the fete's hosts, plan a mock murder mystery, and crime writer Ariadne Oliver agrees to organize the event. However, she instinctively calls Poirot for assistance, sensing that something sinister looms. Written in 1954, Agatha Christie intended this novella to raise funds for stained glass windows for her local church in Churston Ferrers, incorporating references to local sites, including her home, Greenway. Ultimately, Christie chose to expand this story into a full-length novel, Dead Man’s Folly, published two years later, and instead donated a Miss Marple story to the church fund. After sixty years, Hercule Poirot and the Greenshore Folly is finally available in this collector’s hardback edition, featuring a jacket painting, illustrations, and an exclusive introduction by Tom Adams, Agatha Christie’s renowned cover artist, who returns to illustrate her work after more than 30 years.
