Running Downwind

The story follows Mick McFarland, a famous celebrity who retreats to the Louisiana swampland after his fiancée's tragic murder. A year later, he attempts to escape media scrutiny by sailing across the Gulf, only to be shipwrecked off Padre Island during a storm. There, he is rescued by Julia Lawrence, a woman haunted by her own past linked to JFK's assassination. Their intertwined fates explore themes of loss, trauma, and redemption as they navigate their complex histories and the challenges of starting anew.
