The Wicked & The Dead

Set in a near-future New Orleans, the story follows Geneviève Crowe, who earns her living by beheading the dead to prevent them from becoming draugar, powerful again-walkers. These creatures, faster and stronger than humans, pose a threat before they reach a century and become venomous. The narrative explores themes of mortality, the struggle against inevitable transformation, and the moral dilemmas faced by those tasked with ending lives before they become monstrous.
